    Only 15 women have been awarded a Nobel Prize in the science categories (physics, chemistry and medicine). The first one was Marie Curie, who won a Nobel Prize in Physics in 1903 and another one in Chemistry in 1911. The other laureates are: Irene Joliot-Curie (1935), Gerty Radnitz Cori (1947), Maria Goeppert Mayer (1963), Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin (1964), Rosalyn Sussman Yalow (1977), Barbara McClintock (1983), Rita Levi-Montalcini (1986), Gertrude Elion (1988), Christiane Nusslein-Volhard (1995), Linda B. Buck (2004), Francoise Barre-Sinoussi (2008), Elizabeth H. Blackburn (2009), Carol W. Greider (2009) and Ada Yonath (2009)..

   we should always remember that science do not distingush betwee men and women. It only sees who is working more then others.
